Bishop's Bread
3 well-beaten eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup dates, cut up
1 cup drained and chopped Marachino cherries
6 oz chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts
Combine eggs and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder & salt, add to egg mixture. Stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into well greased 9X5X3 loaf pan. Bake at 325F for 1 1/4 hrs or until done. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, remove to wire rack. Slices best on second day.
