JD's Lake Country Chili

1.5 pounds lean ground beef

1 medium onion, chopped

1.5 tablespoon minced garlic

1 green pepper, chopped

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 cup celery, sliced

1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper

1.5 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons chili powder

1/2 teaspoon cumin

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 16oz can stewed tomatoes

1 8oz can tomato sauce

1/4 cup water

1/4 cup ketchup

2 15oz cans dark red kidney beans, drained

1 15oz can chili beans, undrained

Brown ground beef.  Add onion, garlic, green pepper, brown sugar, seasonings, tomatoes, tomato sauce, all beans, water and ketchup. 

Let simmer for several hours.  Serve with "help yourself" bowls of grated cheese, oyster crackers, chopped onion and what ever else you like.
